Under the Tudors (1485 - 1603) England changed from a somewhat backward country into a mighty Renaissance kingdom. No wonder rolex first copy watches founder Hans Wilsdorf (in 1926) named his new watch brand after the royal dynasty; the brand resonates with the heyday of the arts and technological development.

In the 1950s, the naan 'Royal' first appeared in a Tudor context. It was a sculpted model with a serrated bezel, which - if you look through the eyelashes - looks a bit like its well-known sister, the Rolex Datejust. The Ranger II model (1973) is the first Tudor to have an integrated watch strap.

The brand new Royal series combines all these things, as well as the day and date display of the Rolex Day-Date. We can clearly see from that: the new Tudor Royal is completely contemporary.
